Our Client is a leading specialist in hydraulic oil systems which can be found in a wide variety of situations, from small assembly processes to integrated steel and paper mill applications. Essentially such systems use pressurized hydraulic fluid to power hydraulic machinery, often in heavy lifting, where performance is an expectation.
This was to ensure hydraulic oil circulation could be continually maintained no matter the weather. When a system is not operating 24/7 and is turned off at night and/or weekends, the hydraulic oil in very cold temperatures can be affected through chilling and even carbonisation, should an in-tank heater be fitted, creating cold start difficulties or at least making starting very sluggish and troublesome. Any such affect upon, or contamination of the hydraulic oil, can cause operational problems and even system failure, so maintaining optimal hydraulic oil viscosity is essential.
To ensure our Clients customer’s hydraulic systems would always start easily and circulate efficiently, a Preheat Peregrine Oil heater 9kw 415v 3ph with integral thermostat (to maintain heat) was specified, supplied and fitted.
“With Preheat, the problem is solved. Very good service and an energy efficient solution. We would definitely recommend Preheat.”
