COOLANT HEATERS

find out more

We manufacture coolant heaters from vertical, horizontal, long and short heaters to weatherproof and pumped. All come with installation kits that can also cater for isolation valves plus a large range of connection threads, hose tails etc., all with a range of voltages and wattages.

COOLANT HEATER ELEMENTS

find out more

Peregrine coolant elements fit into three categories: Replacement elements with thermostats for Peregrine heaters Other elements with thermostats Elements without thermostats.

OIL SUMP & GEARBOX HEATERS

find out more

At low ambient temperatures oil has a high viscosity and this can cause drag problems with engine starting and may also cause wear on cold start-up due to poor initial oil circulation. To prevent these problems the lubricant may be warmed by an oil heater, which will thereby achieve a reduced oil viscosity. Oil heaters are often fitted as a supplement to coolant pre-heaters in very low ambient temperatures and are used extensively on air-cooled engines. The benefits of oil heaters extend to their use with gearboxes, geared pumps, reservoirs, pipelines, where a reduction in oil drag is required. PEREGRINE oil heaters are available in two main designs; internal and external.

TANK HEATERS (GENERAL)

find out more

There are PEREGRINE tank heaters available to suit most tank applications. Tank heaters are used for frost protection, preventing the waxing of diesel fuel, reducing liquid viscosity for pumping, and many other industrial purposes. We stock thermostats with many different temperature ranges in order to be able to cover any tank temperature requirement, and supply heaters with a watts-density and material suited to the medium being heated.

TANK HEATERS (FUEL OIL)

find out more

There is a need, particularly in colder ambient temperatures, to keep diesel fuel at a temperature where it can flow freely. To ensure this, a range of PEREGRINE diesel fuel tank heaters has been developed, suited to all sizes and dimensions of fuel tank.

PEREGRINE diesel fuel tank heaters are manufactured in many types.

FUEL LINE HEATERS

find out more

PEREGRINE fuel-line heaters are designed to maintain fuel at approximately 7°C whilst it is flowing along the fuel-line. They are manufactured in DC as well as AC voltages as there is a need to maintain fuel flow on both mobile and static applications.

BATTERY PAN HEATERS

find out more

In cold ambient temperatures, battery efficiency and available battery output are known to drop remarkedly. In order to realise sufficient battery power, a practical battery temperature of around 15°C to 20°C is required. PEREGRINE battery pan heaters have been designed to provide a low wattage output to maintain batteries at an acceptable working temperature.

TRACE HEATING TAPES

find out more

In cold ambient temperatures there is often a need to heat equipment such as pipelines, pipe junctions, pumps, gearboxes, etc.. In many such applications there is inadequate space to insert a heating element, or it may be impractical to do so due to location or length of pipe. This is where the use of trace-heating tapes or heating wires is recommended.

THERMOSTATS

find out more

We manufacture a range of thermostatic controls with various temperature ranges, probe threads and lengths and purposes, both analogue and digital. It is somewhat difficult to list them all here but a few examples will be below. As always please do not hesitate to contact us with any enquiry you may have.
